A young couple were walking last Thursday May 19, near their home in NW Miami, when they saw a tiny Rottweiler puppy trying to cross the street getting away from children who were throwing stones at him.
This young lady ran and got him. They both were shocked when they saw this puppy's back, all burned. He was in so much pain and still loving. That was done either intentional or he got under a hot car and burned himself. They live in a small apartment and already have two dogs, so they drove to MDAC, not knowing what to do.
I friend of the Guardian Angels at the Shelter met them outside and gave them my cell number. They send me pictures over the phone and I asked them to take him to Mueller Animal Hospital.
Mueller was about to close, but I called them and they waited for the puppy who I named LUKE.
The Vet at Mueller put him at 3 months old.
He is eating well, got his first set of shots, antibiotics and special treatment for that burn and he is getting better.
This puppy is very lucky to have found that couple who saved his life.
