Injured Senior Dog!!!
This is a very special Happy Ending. Dodger was about 6 years old when we got him, with a real bad injured leg, you could see his tendon torned, HW+, very little chance to make it and even less chance to get adopted.
But then, our GGARR Board Director Louise Kuttler took Dodger under her wing and cared for him. He went through HW treatment and his leg started to heal.
Dodger has been leaving with Louise for about a year.
On 10/20/2011, I received an adoption application from a family in Palm Bay, they wanted to adopt Dodger. I put them in touch with Louise.
Our dear GRC member Carol Burke rushed and did their home check.
So, last night they went to Hawthorne, FL and adopted our Boy.
Thank you Carol for doing the home check.
To you Louise, what can I say. You were Dodger's Guardian Angel since day one.
Great Happy Ending.
Thank you God

DODGER:
Dodger is a 6 year old male neutered rottie. He is heartworm positive and is currently undergoing treatment. As you remember, Dodger had that horrible leg wound. That has healed but the tendon is about 75% torn.
He is a good boy. He is not great with other dogs but he will not bother them unless they bother him. He does not fence fight and will not start a fight. He will not back down though if challenged. I just don't let him in the yard with other dogs. He has puppies next to him and they yap at him and he just lays there and gives out a woof every few minutes to them to answer them back but there is no aggression.
He is a affectionate guy and I think quite beautiful.
